Expired Vietnam e-visa

What to do if your Vietnam e-visa expired while you are still in the country. Why a new e-visa is generally for applicants outside Vietnam, and how to prepare departure resolution.

E-visa while inside Vietnam

Vietnam’s official e-visa system describes personal e-visa applications for foreigners outside Vietnam. A new e-visa is generally not a fix for an overstay while you remain inside the country. Confirm current rules on the official e-visa site.

Validity basics

Official materials currently describe e-visas valid for up to 90 days, single or multiple entry, used through designated border gates. Stay beyond permitted dates can create an overstay regardless of the PDF label.
